In 2008, the first MEMS production line in China was established in Xi 'an.

In 2009, NGAW successfully developed the first 45um unrefrigerated infrared detector, which is the first enterprise in China to independently develop a non-refrigeration infrared detector, filling the gap in the field of unrefrigerated infrared detector in China. The company created a number of domestic first, was China's non-refrigeration infrared industry leader.

In 2010, developed the first 160×120,38μm unrefrigerated infrared detector, the first 384×288,35μm unrefrigerated infrared detecto.

In 2011, the first 384×288,25μm uncooled infrared detector was developed in China.

In 2012, it developed the first 384×288 20μm uncooled infrared detector and the first 640×512 20μm uncooled infrared detector in China

In May 2014, North Night Vision Technology Group and Kunming Institute of Physics invested in GUANGwei, further strengthening the company's research and development, production capacity and military and civilian market development strength.

In March 2021, Ningbo Cixing Co.,Ltd., controlled by CGW, acquired the 35% equity held by Night Vision Technology Group and Kunming Institute of Physics, and CGW became the actual controlling shareholder of NORTH CGW.
